2-day workshop focussed on what’s required when building a website and includes an overnight stay at Village Hotel Newcastle .Back by popular demand - our second website workshop residential of 2023!
This 2-day workshop will focus on what’s required when building a website and includes an overnight stay at Village Hotel Newcastle. The residential is fully-funded and therefore free to eligible SMEs, charities or social enterprises who are registered or trading in Newcastle, Northumberland or North Tyneside.
We’ll cover the cost of all meals and hotel stay to help you get set up and online! As the sessions will be interactive, you’ll need to bring a laptop, however if you do not have access to one, we can provide this on the day.
The agenda of activities will be shared closer to the time, but as a little taster, here’s some of what you can look forward to:
Day 1: “Design Thinking for Websites”
Get ready to learn how to build a website that not only looks great, but meets the needs of your users and beneficiaries. In this interactive session, you’ll learn how to use design thinking principles to plan and structure your website. We’ll cover all the essentials to ensure that your website is user-led and delights your audiences.
Day 2: “Build Your Website with Confidence”
This is the day you’ve been waiting for! Our expert facilitators will guide you through the actual production and build of your website using the information developed on day one. We’ll teach you how to use a range of different website-building platforms to support you in creating a considered and functional new website.
Our aim is to support small business owners and VCSE organisations to understand and adopt a design thinking mindset when building a website, ensuring it meets the needs of your audiences. By the end of day 2, you’ll be equipped with the skills and confidence to continue developing your website on your own or alongside a developer. Join us for this unique and valuable experience and take your website to the next level!
