Transformational Learning is a health and wellbeing education company co-founded by Ben Elliott and Jonny Ellis. The organisation specialises in delivering workshops, masterclasses, and educational content designed to support improvements in mental, physical and emotional wellbeing. With a foundation in e-learning, Transformational Learning has been exploring opportunities to expand its digital presence and enhance the accessibility of its services through technology.

The Challenge

As the organisation has grown, Transformational Learning identified the need to transition from a combination of in-person delivery and fragmented digital content towards a more integrated and scalable digital model. While the team had a clear vision of developing e-learning, they needed support to identify the most effective route forward.

Another area of support came in the form of the development of a digital wellness journal app. The team had previous experience with a private developer that was costly and took a lot of time, they wanted to explore how they might be able to use artificial intelligence tools to support their app development.

The Support

To address these challenges, Transformational Learning engaged with Nathan Rowland, Digital Adoption Specialist at Digital Pathfinders. This support began with an in-depth discovery call to fully understand the organisation’s objectives, current capabilities, and future ambitions. Following this, a comprehensive report was produced, outlining tailored recommendations for digital development. This included strategic guidance on the feasibility and structure of a possible e-learning platform.

Digital Pathfinders also helped Ben to explore the use of AI tools, such as Lovable, Replit, Google Stitch, Cursor and Github, to build their app, and allow them to test and iterate more quickly.

The Impact

The support from Digital Pathfinders enabled Transformational Learning to refine its strategic direction and gain greater clarity on how to progress its digital ambitions. The organisation moved from an exploratory stage, with multiple ideas and opportunities, to a more focused and structured approach. This exploration of tools allowed them to de-risk the technologies and spend less to build a functional prototype offering, allowing them to test and iterate design decisions faster and more cost effectively.

As a result, the team is now better positioned to develop a cohesive digital offering that aligns with its long-term vision. The guidance provided has increased confidence in decision-making and established a clearer pathway towards growth through digital innovation.

“The support that Nathan and the team at Digital Pathfinders provided has been invaluable. There is a real feeling that they are there to help you, they asked questions that we had not necessarily considered before and the report we received after our initial discovery meeting was extremely comprehensive, “From the second meeting, Nathan was like an expert consultant, he came in and guided us, he showed us that it is possible and that it is actually in our power to do. It was really really helpful. I can’t speak highly enough of Digital Pathfinders really, and for that support to be fully funded for a small organisation, and to get that level of knowledge and support, it was unbelievable.”
