A woman and a man sitting and having a discussion about technology

Getting Started with Agentic AI

Register here

This workshop will demystify AI agents, explaining what they are, how they work, and why they behave differently from other AI tools.

Most people have used a chatbot by now, but AI agents are a different thing entirely and the gap between the two is where a lot of confusion sits.

This workshop walks you through what an agent actually is and why it behaves differently from the AI tools you might already be using day to day.

What's On?

We will look at how agents get access to your tools and data, comparing the two main approaches: Model Context Protocol (MCP) and direct API integrations. This will help you understand the trade offs rather than just the buzzwords.

We will also explore the differences between running these systems on your own hardware and leaning on cloud services, which matters for cost and for keeping control of your information.

By the end of the workshop, you will have a clear picture of how an agent is built, even if you never write a line of code yourself, so you can have sensible conversations with developers or suppliers.

This workshop is aimed at small businesses and charities who want to understand the technology properly before spending money on it. No prior technical knowledge needed.
